SO much has been going on these past couple of months it's been difficult to keep up! Finn is growing at a rate that I totally cannot fathom. I swear he wakes up each morning a new baby! Literally afraid to blink. And my (s)mothering is in full-swing because I just do not want to miss a beat! I love everything about being this boys' momma. <3
At NINE months
Developmental Milestones:
Two front teeth plus two bottom sprouting in.
Walking around/scaling furniture.
Very controlled fine motor movements.
So curious with everything he has, will analyze and turn a toy/object around in his hands for a solid 5 minutes before playing with it.
Still TONS of babbling, but no words.

Eating: A bottomless pit this one is. Wants to sample anything mom and dad have, and is eating 3 solid "meals" a day plus snacks. We know he doesn't like something if he dramatically gags the moment it touches his tongue. Still drinking down 7 oz. of milk every 3-4 hours. Introduced some formula as my supply is dwindling, though, still gets as much breast milk as possible.
Weight: 21. 9 lbs.
Height: 28 3/4
Hair: Strawberry blonde and getting the sweetest little curls in the back!! Swoon.
Play: Is literally attached to his breast pump hose, and now also a toothbrush. Loves to get chased by mom and dad (he will crawl super fast but then turn and crouch/laugh really hard in anticipation of us catching him!). Loves to attack his pets...particularly our cat Jappetto, who is the only one that will just lay there and be tortured. Loves being outside and playing next to the front door where he can watch whats going on outside.
Sleep: Sleep has been a dream this month, despite the time change. Sleeping from about 8 pm to 5 a, waking up, and then sleeping again until about 7:30.
Size: 4 diapers. 12-18 month clothes.
What Momma Loves:
His snuggly little self in the mornings.
Bath time.
His goofy grin that shows off his SPONGEBOB teeth!!<3
His babble that genuinely sounds like he's holding an intellectual conversation! haha
That he can now ride in shopping carts without toppling over! By the way...Target legit has the greatest shopping carts on the planet that are totally baby friendly. Just saying.

Quirks:
Still dreads getting dressed. The boy would be naked 24/7 if he could.
Still bites my face, I really think it's out of affection as he does it every time I go in for a kiss. We'll have to break that little habit soon ha.
He air-humps all.the.time and it freaking cracks us up. There will be times where we think he is out cold sleeping, and then all of a sudden his little hips start pumping and he shoots up, as if 2 minutes of sleeping energized him for another 12 hours.
He's totally an ankle-grabber, hangs around our feet whenever he can.

Walking all around with a walker.
Grabs a spoon and attempts to feed himself with it.
Pushes things around (walks behind it).
No purposeful words yet, but often says "mamamama and dadadadada" indirectly. BUT, when asked what a cow says he most definitely responds with a hefty "mmmmmmmm."
Quirks:
He is totally all boy. This kid derfs it and smacks his head onto things allll the time. Kills my mommy heart but it never seems to phase him all that much when he does! He's certainly a brave little adventurer with ZERO fears.
When we say "no no" to him he'll stop what he's doing, turn around, sit, and then laugh at us. Proceeded by going after what we just told him "no" to.
Still our little air-humper.
Is now petrified of nail-clippers. I typically clean up his little claws by chewing them off myself when he's nursing, and then filing them later.
Chews on his crib like he's a dog after a denti-bone.

Favorite Foods: Loves loves noodles, bananas, eggs, blueberries, and anything sweet (fruits).
Weight: 22.2 lbs.
Height: 29 inches
Play: Loves to play and explore things independently. Loves to flip through books, press buttons, play with his toy house, and anything with WHEELS. Would prefer to be outside over anything, but, our nasty Michigan weather hasn't allowed for much of that. Will bounce his little butt whenever there's music, and is totally still a sucker for Little Einsteins, the movie Home, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman.
Sleep: Well, sleep plummeted again. He is now becoming difficult to get to sleep, which as ALWAYS been a cakewalk and literally took 5 minutes to do. I think because he's getting so much more interactive he just wants to hang with mom and dad as long as he can. AND, we're back to waking up 2x per night, usually 1am and 4am.
